The Ausf L version had the largest amount of armour of all Panzers, with a total of 70mm . This scale R/C replica is extremely well detailed and can travel very quickly, making it excellent for battles. This tank fires airsoft BBs and generate smoke for realistic game/competition style playing. The tanks turret rotates 360 degrees, and the barrel can move 60 degrees. The tracks run on spring wheels just like the real tank to enable the Panzer Kampfwagen III to clear obstacles easily. There are many sound and feature adjustments and the radio can control all functions without the need for multiple buttons. This helps the user to quickly control the tank in battle situations. great toy but stay away from seller hobby tron,
i love this tank it one of the better ones out there.i got it and it climbs over logs i had in the yard the smoke and sound make it sound life like.but buyer beware if you decide to get this one get it else where hobby tron will scam you it took almost 2 months to recive this item.

1. I bought it as a gift to my son. On the first day the motor that turns the turret died. Child was sad but still – I didn’t opt for replacement as it would take weeks while he enjoyed the toy so much.
2. The RC seems to come from some other toy. Two joysticks – one controls movement (forward/back/turn) and another one is combined – bottom moves the cannon up/down, left/right turns the turret and up fires the cannon. It would be much better if the controls were buttons to fire/move cannon. Ideally I would like to have separate joysticks for treads – single joystick is a no go for precision navigation. The remote also has lots of buttons like programming mode that make little sense but require you to learn quite a bit so you know what a child had occasionally pressed _this time_ so the toy does not respond to remote.
3. A couple months of playing – alas – cannon doesn’t shoot any more. I took the tank apart – cannon broke it self in peaces. There was obviously no child’s fault.
Toy is extremely fun. But it is really low-quality – I’m looking at other models now.

When I got it it was broken,
I bought this tank for my dad. He’s in his 80ies! However, What better than a tank. When I received it one of the outside wheels was broken. Also, the screw that holds the right front drive wheel was not installed so the tread came off. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement wheel immediately. When we tried it out on Christmas everything worked except the gun. It wouldn’t shoot. Bummer. The engineering and attention to detail seems to be great but the quality control in manufacturing is not. Odds of getting a defective one is probably high.

@grreeknick Ah, I’m probably wrong. I’d guess Heng Long got tired of all the “broken smoker” complaints and reassigned some sort of frequency switcher there – but how is this done? The radio is tuned by crystals…

The switch on the left side of the tank does NOT control frequencies, it controls the volume of smoke the tank produces, LOL.
