Easy Airplane Radio Control

A Ready to Fly plane complete with remote transmitter/control will give you lots of fun (and fun is what its all about)
You will be able to take off,fly around under control and then (hopefully) gracefully land your new plane.

Of course you may have to do some construction on it first - usually pretty basic stuff like glueing a couple of parts together and adding decals (transfers with insignia or plane type)
So that really is not too hard. (oh and they really fly a lot better with wings attached )
Modern planes are pretty robust and may have plastic undersides to help on landings.
Try not to crash yours first time.. although the plastic will help protect the (usually) Foam body.

You will also have to set up a few things on the plane itself to control it in flight.
These are usually Aileron,flaps and rudder in a basic model.
A slightly more advanced plane may also have speed control.
Basic models normally have the transmitter and reciever set up already on the same frequency. (do not touch the settings at this stage on the rc controls !)

I would advise you to make your first flight in a park or other area of open ground without any trees
( trees seem to attract airplanes quite magically !)
I would personally limit my first couple of flights to familiarising myself with the controls
of takeoff and landing just like in a real full sized plane.
When you are really confident with your abilities as a pilot you can then explore the delights of
aerobatics with your new model.

Once you are well versed in flying battery operated model planes,
then you can also graduate to gasoline-powered planes.
These planes require additional parts such as fuel line filters, fuel tubing, field accessory packs, etc along with nitro airplane fuel and after run oil.
Gas powered planes come in 2-stroke and 4-stroke form but the latter is costlier, while the former is cheaper, but noisier. These planes too can be controlled by remote control and their distinct motor sound gives flying a more realistic touch
of being in the early 1900s as compared to an electric motor, which is silent.

So, whichever plane you fly, it is essential that you get familiar with the remote controls to enable your model plane to obey your commands and keep crashes to a minimum.
Over time you will be able to make your plane perform difficult and death defying stunts
without any fear. So, take some action now. Get that RC model airplane and take to the skies with your feet planted firmly on the ground.
It might just be a good idea to try a flight simulator program and get used to the wonderful world of flight ...
