Go Crazy in the RC Cars Heaven

With vintage and advanced technology developing by leaps and bounds, a wealth of fabulous and thrilling RC cars have hit the electrics market and gained immense popularity. If you want a gas powered RC car, nitro RC cars are the way to go.

Well, nitro RC cars combine the suspension cues of actual F1 cars and the power of dragsters, all rolled into one. Mini RC cars are more geared towards child and amateurs, but that's not to say they can't be a tons of fun too. Every mini RC car handles a little bit different than the next and definitely different than gas powered RC cars. It'll take some getting used to the torque and under steer issue for some gas powered RC cars. Want to play it safe until you get the hang of with little to no maintenance necessary? Drive a few different electric RC cars until you get used to those, then up to gas RC cars.

Having a scale gas RC car can be perfect for tooling around your secluded street or local parking lot. Gas RC cars are also great to pass the time during those long afternoon car shows. A lot of BMW owners are finding that RC car manufacturers are taking note of the demand for these particular RC cars and mini RC car have begun producing several of the models offered by BMW. I can't particularly say that the same craftsmanship has gone into each RC car that went into the actual vehicle, but at least they look good. Just do your homework on the gas RC car brand, the engine specs and you should be well prepared to pick your first RC.

When you get a little seasoned in the sport, you'll notice some of your competitor's RC cars for sale after they get beat. However, there is one option to t buy better RC car parts. If you aren't skilled enough to wrench on gas RC cars yet find someone with some experience working with RC car parts. RC car parts are very small and require special tools to ensure that are installed properly. Electric RC cars are the same way. And mini cars are even more of a pain to work on. RC car racing is definitely fun, but does require some dedication to the hobby or you won't relish RC car racing for long.

Anyway, welcome to join the electrics heaven to have fun with the thrilling and perking RC cars!

This was an experience I made with the few parts I had at home right after the 2nd Tomar LEGO(r) Fan Event... I used the new IR car base from the Turbo RC new sets. Unfortunatly, it didn't have power to move, 'cause the struture was too heavy, but it's nice even though, right? I enjoyed a lot to do build my first "big" car! :D

What You Need to Know About Nitro RC Cars

Article by Otello Zorina

Because of the movie "The Fast and the Furious" many people today think that the word "nitro" means having something extra on your car that boosts its speed. Thus, many people who encounter the term "Nitro RC Car" think that it refers to an RC car that's been upgraded.

This thinking could also be due to the fact that many people think that gas powered RC cars actually run on gasoline. This is a very wrong assumption. The term "Nitro RC Car" is actually synonymous with "gas powered RC car" because of the fact that this type of RC car uses a specialized mixture of nitromethane and lubricant to run.

So what do you need to get started with Nitro RC cars?

1) Experience- Before you go ahead and get a Nitro RC car, you need to have sufficient experience with an electric RC car. This is because of the fact that Nitro RC cars can be too much to handle if you are a noob in RC car usage. This is the reason why people who want to get into the hobby of RC cars are advised to get electric RC cars before they move on to Nitro RC cars.

2) Interest- Without the right interest to drive you, why would you get into Nitro RC cars? You need to have some reason in order to truly get something from the hobby of Nitro RC cars. This is because Nitro RC cars will cost you some money and nobody spends money on something that they will not profit from in some way. The "profit" in this case does not refer to financial gain exclusively.

3) Information- You need to know different things before you get started with Nitro RC cars. This is because Nitro RC car racing can be a very complicated business. Having the right information can help you a lot in getting the car that you want and taking care of it. In fact, having the right information about Nitro RC cars can help you profit from the hobby financially.

4) The right materials- Many people wonder exactly what tools and materials you need to get into the Nitro RC car hobby. Here are just some of the things you are going to need:

a) Nitro RC car kit- This pretty much contains everything you are going to need to build yourself a "basic" Nitro RC car. This is a kit containing what you need to build the car itself including the engine, the chassis and the whole enchilada. Beginners are advised to stick to the specifications found in the manual included with Nitro RC car kits. As you progress in the hobby, you may want to divert from the basic look of your car and start customizing your vehicle.

b) Fuel- The nitromethane-castor oil mixture used in powering Nitro RC cars can be found in various hobby shops and stores. Remember: you must never attempt to use gasoline to run your Nitro RC car. The fuel used to run Nitro RC cars is less volatile than gasoline for the reason that the engine may explode if used with gasoline. This means that if you want to enjoy the Nitro RC car hobby for a long time, use only the type of fuel recommended. By doing so, you will ensure that Nitro RC car racing will grow with you.

Question by muddyb00ts33: Whats a good brand for Off Road RC Cars?
im starting to get into gas RC cars and i just wanted to know some good reliable brands to get me started.

I personally would reccomend TRAXXAS, Team Associated, or Team Caster Racing who is beginning to dominate the 1/8th scale electric scene.
Team Losi has lost some of it's racing potential since the owner left the company at bay. I would only get a Losi if your a professional racer willing to spend your whole week at the race track... that is... dialing your vehicle in so it's faster because Losi just is FAST... but Team Associated is more Reliable. Traxxas doesn't like competition or sponsoring people... so be cautious if your a racer!
If you want to have fun, get yourself a TRAXXAS. Team Losi is starting to follow TRAXXAS, but they don't have as many optional parts.

Other than that... please follow the links below to get more information.
