Those running on gasoline are however, much more expensive and the electric varieties are fast becoming popular among the masses. It also depends on the size of the helicopter, since a bigger and heavier one requires more power to perform. But a standard helicopter can fly for about 4 to 12 minutes. Material Used:The materials that are used for the construction of the outer body of the helicopter is aluminum, carbon fiber high quality glass reinforced plastic. The rotor blades are too made from plastic and also wood. Normally, the Flying toys subsequent parts can be brought separately or together if they come as complete kit and can hours to assemble. It is essential that you are absolutely sure about the assembling and there should be no loose ends or the helicopter can malfunction midway and crash. I am thinking about buying my bf a cheap little RC Helicopter. The Air Hogs Havoc was reviewed well on amazon but it`s like $ 50. I am thinking more along the lines of $ 25. Is there anything worthy out there?

Not in that price range. The cheapest "good" helicopter is $ 119, it's a full blown helicopter.

If you were my GF I would really appreciate what you wanted to get me. But if I was into helicopters and my GF bought me one for $ 25 I might feel bad because it's kind of a waste of the money.

I've learned that in a relationship, if somebody is the expert on something, it's best to leave it up to them. Know what I mean?

Maybe you could get him a $ 25 gift certificate to a hobby store that sells helicopters and he could put it toward one.

IRCHA Jamboree- Radio Control Helicopter Competition The International Radio Controlled Helicopter Association (IRCHA) was founded in 1989 by helicopter pilot Don Chapman. IRCHA is a Special Interest Group (SIG) that represents the interests of helicopter pilots within the AMA. IRCHA hosted its first Jamboree in Dayton, Ohio in 1992. The following year the event was held in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. From 1994 through the year 2000, the Jamboree found a home in Hebron, Ohio which is located outside of the city of Columbus. Following the sale of the property in Hebron, Ron Kummer approached the AMA about using the flying site in Muncie for the Jamboree. The Jamboree immediately followed the helicopter world championships in 2001 and despite the tragedy that occurred that September when the airlines shut down, the Jamboree attracted around 200 pilots. Loops, rolls, funnels, aileron or elevator tic tocs, piro flips, the Beam handled them all with no problem. With the gyro gain set at 50 percent tail slides and rolling tail slides didn't cause the tail to blow out. On the rudder dual rates I ended up setting stunt one up at 100/100, and one at 85/85 for stunt two. I like the fast piro rate just because its, well, because it's cool!
